Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics" - Mezzotint print

This weeks video is a mezzotint print of the first law of robotics. This is part of a three part series that I'll be working on over the next few months. Here are the complete laws according to Asimov:

This video is the design & creation of a print illustrating my interpretation of law 1 of Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics".  This video is the first in a series of three.

To make this print I use mezzotint for the main image, a rainbow roll of relief ink for the background, and linocut for the embossing.

Here are Asimov's three laws:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
